Becken and HASPA PeB sell Berlin administration building Am Borsigturm 130 to DIC Asset AG

  • DIC Asset AG has acquired the property for a new infrastructure special fund
  • The property has been leased to the Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BImA)
    for use by the Federal Archives for 17 years
  • The existing property comprises 18,500 square meters of administrative and archive space

Berlin/Hamburg, January 10, 2022. Becken, a specialist in project development, revitalization and asset and investment management for commercial and residential real estate, and HASPA PeB, an expert in individual financing options and project developments, have sold their Berlin property Am Borsigturm 130 to DIC Asset AG. The deal was completed at the end of 2021. DIC Asset AG acquired the property for a new infrastructure fund.

It was not until September 2021 that Becken and HASPA PeB announced the long-term lease of the property for around 17 years to the Federal Agency for Real Estate (BImA). As the central real estate company of the federal government, it provides the Federal Archives with the approximately 18,500 square meters of administrative and archive space and the 60 associated car parking spaces for the accommodation of personnel and documents of the Department for Personal Information on the First and Second World Wars.

The transaction was accompanied by the real estate agency CBRE GmbH. Wiegel Ihde Ekrutt + Partner mbB acted as legal and tax advisor to the seller. Walch Rittberg Nagel Rechtsanwälte und Steuerberater Partnerschaft mbB acted as the letting agent. CMS Hasche Sigle Partnerschaft von Rechtsanwälten und Steuerberatern mbB acted as advisor to the buyer.
