Hamburg, September 10, 2021. The Hamburg-based real estate and investment company Becken appoints Jörn Stobbe (55) as Spokesman of the Management Board of Becken Holding GmbH. Stobbe has been a strategic advisor to the Becken family since January 2021. In his role as Spokesman of the Management Board, the trained banker, lawyer and experienced manager will act at the level of the holding company and will continue to drive the growth of the Becken Group. To this end, Stobbe will be responsible for the strategic expansion of the Investment and Funds divisions. Another focus of his activities will be the implementation of the ESG strategy in the group of companies.

Since 2017, Stobbe has been a member of the management of Union Investment Real Estate GmbH and Union Investment Institutional Properties GmbH. Stobbe initially held the positions of COO, Head of Fund Management and CEO. Most recently, as Global Head of Asset Management at Union Investment, he was responsible for real estate worth over EUR 40 billion in 23 countries. From 2013 to 2016, the former partner at the law firm Clifford Chance was Managing Director at Deutsche Asset Management in his role as Head of Transactions & Asset Management with responsibility for Germany and other European countries.
