Hamburg, December 6, 2018 - The German project developer Becken celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the Düsseldorf project "Infinity Office" yesterday together with representatives of the partners involved in the project and the future anchor tenant Bankhaus Lampe. Becken is building a high-quality office property with a rental area of around 20,500 square meters, including underground parking, on the almost 8,000 square meter site on Kennedydamm by autumn 2019.
Dieter Becken, Managing Partner of Becken Holding GmbH, says: "I am delighted that the Infinity Office, our first project in Düsseldorf, already has an occupancy rate of around 85% one year before completion. This shows the attractiveness of the location and reinforces the quality of our projects." Gustav Epple Bauunternehmung GmbH is the general contractor for the project. Its Managing Partner Götz Ellinger says: "The Infinity Office is the first property that we are realizing for Becken as general contractor and forms the basis for further joint projects throughout Germany. As part of our collaboration, we particularly appreciate the trusting and, above all, professional way in which we work together."
In addition to Bankhaus Lampe, which will occupy around 70 percent of the future rental space as the anchor tenant, SUMITOMO DEUTSCHLAND GmbH has rented around 15 percent of the space. At the end of August, Becken contractually secured the sale of the "Infinity Office" to DIC Asset AG as part of a forward deal.
Designed by pinkarchitektur as a multi-tenant office building, it allows for both mixed office and open office concepts. The special feature of the building is the sophisticated design of the façade and the shape of the structure as a horizontal figure of eight. The property has six upper floors in the northern part of the building and five upper floors in the southern part. A total of 265 underground parking spaces are available in the two basement levels. A roof terrace of around 500 square meters and two green inner courtyards increase the quality of stay for future office users and create oases of peace.
