Hamburg, November 1, 2018 - Last week, German project developer Becken, together with the Lord Mayor of Offenbach, Dr. Felix Schwenke, and representatives of the partners involved in the project, ceremoniously laid the foundation stone for the Offenbach office project development at Berliner Strasse 300. Becken will be building the future headquarters of AXA Konzern AG in Offenbach on the approximately 8,200 square meter site by autumn 2019, with a total of around 12,400 square meters of rental space.

Dr. Felix Schwenke, Lord Mayor of the City of Offenbach, says: "I am delighted that AXA is moving several locations together in Offenbach. As the City of Offenbach, we expressly support this project. The Kaiserlei area is the best example of Offenbach's outstanding location qualities. As a project developer, Becken recognized Offenbach's economic and innovative potential at an early stage. Project developers in Offenbach can rely on the administration to provide solution-oriented assistance."
Dominik Tenhumberg, Managing Director of Becken Development GmbH, says: "Offenbach is an attractive location for us, which is currently transforming from an industrial to a service city. This is noticeable in the increasing demand, particularly for modern office space."

Similar to the project development in Wiesbaden, Becken is realizing a building in the shape of an "H" in the Kaiserlei district of Offenbach. This has five full storeys and a staggered storey. Future office users will be provided with a total of 330 parking spaces in a separate parking garage on the site. A further building is also planned on the site for anticipated office use with a gross floor area of around 2,750 square meters.
