Becken lets around 10,000 m² in the Fleet Office to major German insurance group

Becken Development GmbH has concluded a rental agreement with one of Germany's largest insurance groups for around 10,000 m² of rental space in the Fleet Office. The new eleven-storey office building has a total area of around 20,000 m² that can be flexibly divided up. The move to the new Group branch in the Fleet Office at Heidenkampsweg 74-76 will take place in mid-2017. With the move, the insurer will remain loyal to the City Süd location. The excellent transport links in particular make City Süd, which includes Heidenkampsweg, so attractive and the third-largest office submarket in Hamburg. Dieter Becken, Managing Partner of Becken Holding GmbH, says of this deal: "My long-standing philosophy, and now that of the Becken Group, of building office properties speculatively has once again led to success. Due to the ever-shorter planning horizons in large companies, 75% of the property was let nine months before the completion date".
