Hamburg / Munich, 06.11.2024. The Hamburg-based real estate and investment company Becken, in collaboration with BRÜCKNERINNEN Interior Design, receives the German Design Award 2025 in the category "Excellent Architecture - Interior Architecture" for its residential ensemble "HOCH DER ISAR" in Munich's Au-Haidhausen district. The ensemble of 13 different buildings has now been successfully completed following the start of construction in October 2020. Of the 185 residential units in the project, 184 have already been sold.

Susanne Brückner, Managing Director and interior designer at BRÜCKNERINNEN Interior Design, Munich, is responsible for the award-winning Stylewelten concept. All 185 condominiums in the 13 buildings have exclusive interiors in one of three selected style worlds. The architects and interior designers drew inspiration for the selected color nuances and materials from the rich diversity of the Isar River.

Susanne Brückner says: "The floor, walls and ceiling are the stage for a room. Everything that is added is variable and, as in a play, can change again and again according to requirements. With its tastefully designed rooms, Hoch der Isar offers the perfect stage for sophisticated living in a very special place. Not only the concept, but also Becken as the client was highly deserving of the award in our view!"

"Hoch der Isar has succeeded in transforming an industrial wasteland into a modern, liveable environment that is highly valued by buyers. With only one residential unit still available, the project is about to be sold out completely," says Olaf Drossert, Managing Director of Becken Estates GmbH and responsible for sales of the Becken project.

Prices for the exclusive condominiums vary between 16,000 euros and 27,000 euros per square meter of living space. From the outset, the marketing strategy was to maximize the future buyers' own use - with success: "The majority of buyers use the apartments for themselves. We can also see that Hoch der Isar offers added value for the people of Munich from the fact that almost 90 percent of buyers come from the Munich area or the surrounding region," continues Drossert.

The three renowned architectural firms Rapp+Rapp, su und z and holger meyer architektur were responsible for the architecture of the 13 buildings, which shapes the cityscape.

In the summer of 2024, Holger Meyer Architektur received the "Real Estate of the Year 2024" award for the "HOCH DER ISAR" ensemble from Callway.
