Becken celebrates topping-out ceremony for the "Lincoln Offices I" office project in Wiesbaden
  • Office building with around 15,300 square meters of rental space
  • Completion of construction planned for Q3 2019
  • Future headquarters of AXA Konzern AG in Wiesbaden

Hamburg, February 21, 2019 - German project developer Becken celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the "Lincoln Offices I" office project yesterday in Wiesbaden together with representatives of the partners involved in the project and the future tenant, AXA Konzern AG. Becken is developing a prestigious office building with a rental area of around 15,300 square meters on the approximately 13,600 square meter site at Abraham-Lincoln-Park 5 by the third quarter of this year. For the insurance company, this is
the second largest location in Germany.

Sven Gerich, Lord Mayor of the City of Wiesbaden, says: "We expressly welcome AXA's new location in Wiesbaden. Our city is becoming increasingly popular as an office location. Becken recognized this development in good time and is thus meeting the growing demand for modern space." Dominik Tenhumberg, Managing Director of Becken Development GmbH, says: "With our first project here in Wiesbaden, we are developing a sustainable and needs-based office building. Becken is aiming for DGNB Gold certification for this."

Designed as a multi-tenant, the office building comprises six storeys and a staggered storey as well as 485 parking spaces. The basic shape of the building, designed by architecture firm Structurelab, corresponds to an "H", which opens up as a striking entrance for the development. Becken sold the "Lincoln Offices I" project development to HanseMerkur Grundvermögen AG at the beginning of October 2018.
