Hamburg, July 24, 2017 - The real estate company Becken, a specialist in the development, realization and long-term asset and investment management of commercial and residential properties, is planning a new company location for AXA Konzern AG in Offenbach. The approximately 8,200 square meter property on Berliner Strasse in the Kaiserlei district was acquired without the involvement of a real estate agent. The multi-tenant office building comprises around 11,000 square meters of rental space and will be fully let to the insurance group. A further property with a gross floor area of around 2,750 square meters is also planned, which is expected to be used as an office building or hotel.

Dr. Michael Becken, Managing Director of Becken Holding GmbH, says: "The political support for our project from Lord Mayor Horst Schneider and City Treasurer Peter Freier was given right from the start. This makes it possible for us to implement the project in the time frame desired by the future tenant. And Stefan Spilker, Managing Director of Becken Holding GmbH, adds. "In addition, the business development department reacted very quickly and organized a round table with the relevant specialist departments.

We were able to clarify all relevant questions immediately and assume that the building permit can also be issued very quickly. We are therefore planning to start construction this year."

Similar to the new construction project in Wiesbaden, Becken is building a state-of-the-art office building in the shape of an 'H' for AXA in Offenbach and is aiming for DGNB Gold certification for the property. The building has a gross floor area of around 11,600 square meters and comprises five floors and a staggered storey.
